Meet Anaxi & Juliana
Cocina Fusion is more than a catering company — it's a love story, a family, and a dream built from scratch.
Juliana came from Colombia, earned her business degree from Boise State University, and found her home in Chicago. Anaxi arrived in Chicago chasing a better future, starting as a dishwasher at a well-known restaurant and working his way up through sheer determination, learning to cook through hands-on experience, informal classes, and catering gigs along the way.
When they met, Anaxi was already deep in the hospitality world — co-owning a nightclub, managing a banquet hall, and fielding requests to cater events all over the city. It was only natural that the two of them joined forces. Together, they founded Cocina Fusion, built on the cultural flavors and real food they grew up loving.
A few years in, Juliana left her career in sales to go all-in on Cocina Fusion — by then, they already had two little girls. (They now have three kids 😄)
Their food has always been personal. Not fancy for the sake of fancy — but deeply flavorful, rooted in tradition, and made with genuine passion. Word spread fast. It always does when the food and the people behind it are this good.
When they're not feeding Chicago, you'll find Anaxi and Juliana traveling with their kids, exploring new cities — and yes, eating at street carts whenever possible.
